Yes, matcha naturally contains caffeine, but unlike coffee, it provides a slow, steady release of energy rather than a sudden spike and crash. This is due to the presence of L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes calmness and focus while balancing the effects of caffeine. A typical serving of matcha contains around 30–70mg of caffeine, depending on the amount used—less than a cup of coffee but enough to keep you energised and alert without jitters.
50g gives you approximately 25–30 servings.
Yes! Our matcha is low in caffeine and free from additives, making it a gentle option during pregnancy and postpartum.
