Wellness
What blends are vegan?
- All our blends are 100% vegan and cruelty free.
Are your blends gluten free?
- The tea ingredients contained in all our blends are gluten free.
How many cups of tea per day should I drink?
- The amount you enjoy is personal and depends on your individual tolerance. Some of our blends, like our matcha products, contain caffeine, while our herbal blends are naturally caffeine free. We recommend starting with one cup and seeing how you feel, then adjusting to what works for you. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medications, it's best to check with your healthcare provider first.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
- Are all your teas safe to drink during pregnancy?
The ingredients contained in our Morning Lift and Sleep Tea are safe to drink throughout all trimesters of pregnancy. We recommend Red Raspberry Leaf Tea from 32 weeks onwards as part of your pregnancy wellness routine. Nursing Tea should only be consumed postpartum in your fourth trimester. If you have any concerns, it is important to seek advice from your healthcare provider.
Please note, Nursing Tea, Cinnamon Flow Tea and our Menopause Tea should not be consumed during pregnancy. We also recommend you avoid excessive consumption of caffeine.
- What's in Morning Lift Tea?
Our Morning Lift blend contains rooibos, ginger and peppermint. These herbs have a long history of use during pregnancy and are naturally caffeine-free. Many women enjoy this blend as part of their daily wellness routine during pregnancy.
- What teas do you recommend to have when breastfeeding?
Our Nursing Tea contains anise seed, chamomile flowers, caraway, red raspberry leaf, marshmallow root and nettle. These are herbs that have been traditionally valued during the breastfeeding period and are included in this blend specifically for fourth trimester wellness. We've deliberately chosen to be fenugreek free as some women experience digestive sensitivity with this ingredient.
Our Sleep Tea is also a lovely complementary choice during the fourth trimester, containing nettle, cinnamon and chamomile flowers for a calming cup.
Menopause
- Can your Menopause Tea support me during perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause?
Our Menopause Tea is blended with ingredients that have a long history of traditional use during hormonal transitions. It contains licorice, shatavari and chaste tree berries, alongside other supporting herbs. Many women enjoy this blend as a daily ritual during this life stage. If you're taking HRT or other medications, we recommend discussing herbal tea use with your healthcare provider first.
Sustainability & Social Responsibility
- What sustainability procedures do you have in place for your packaging?
We took great efforts to ensure all our internal and external packaging is either recyclable and/or biodegradable. We also offer a refill option for all our blends so we can ensure we are offering the most sustainable option for all our customers. We believe refill is the new recycle.
- What are your tea bags made from?
Our tea bags are proudly plastic free and made from plant-based material called PLA Corn Fibre. It's compostable and biodegradable, right down to the sustainable tag that we use. The labels and string are heat sealed with no polymers or glues. You can place these teabags in your home compost but they will take longer to decompose than the manufacturers recommendation of commercial composting.
- Are the clear pouches plastic free?
Yes the clear pouches are made from plant based material called cellophane which are plastic free and can compost at home. Simply place the pouch in your bin once you've finished enjoying your tea.
- Can I re-use the tea canisters?
Our tea canisters are made of recycled paper and can be re-used. It was really important to us that we also created a reuse and refill option, enabling you to refill your existing tea canister with our tea blends. We feel this is an even better environmentally friendly option.
- Is your wrapping and packaging sustainable?
We really did our research into the most environmentally friendly packaging options and found the Hex Wrap honeycomb paper, recyclable kraft paper, recyclable kraft mailer boxes and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified mailer boxes to be the best available options. The Hex Wrap offers the same protection as bubble wrap but unlike bubble wrap, it is 100% recyclable and compostable. Plus it can be reused over and over again, positively contributing to the environment. The clear packing tape that we use is biodegradable and biodegrades approximately 90% faster in landfills than conventional plastic while still being recyclable with soft plastics. The kraft tape that we also use is made with paper from well managed forests and other controlled sources.
- Does Nurtur Tea support any charities?
Yes. We're proud to support the Redlands Centre for Women, a local not-for-profit charity based right here in the Redlands, Queensland, that's been strengthening the community since 2008. They exist to support women with knowledge and friendship, offering a welcoming hub where women of all ages can build confidence, direction, support, and meaningful connections. From teenagers to retirees, the Centre provides activities and outings that help women live stronger, more fulfilled lives. As a locally based women's wellness brand, supporting organisations that champion women in our own backyard felt like the natural choice.

- What is the shelf life of your tea blend?
Our tea blends have a 24 month shelf life from time of manufacture. You can see our best before date at the base of the tea canister packaging. We recommend you store your tea in an airtight container away from direct sunlight and at an optimum temperature below 24 degrees. In extreme heat and humidity product should be best kept in refrigeration to maintain freshness.
- Are your teas blended and packaged in Australia?
Our teas are blended and packaged in Queensland, Australia from a HACCP certified and Organic Certified supplier. All our premium blends are made with the finest ingredients, care and most importantly love.
- How do I become a stockist?
If you're interested in stocking our teas, we'd love to hear from you. This Chai tea is absolute my favourite, I have tried some other brands but always come back to Nurtur Tea. Anyway when my order arrived I was so over the moon. I was very excited trying the ‘sleep tea’ The flavour is delicious and I look forward to ‘ME’ time just before bed. Since taking it my sleep had definitely improved:) I love the packaging, beautifully designed to keep the tea so fresh. The herbs are such high quality, and the moment I opened it I could smell rose petals along with all the other herbs. What I loved most was nice gesture of gratitude by including ‘forget me not’ seeds that I am looking forward to planting in my garden very soon when the weather warms up here in Melbourne :)

This is the most beautiful matcha kit! Everything is great quality, from the glass chawan to the bamboo scoop and gorgeous bamboo whisk. I also love the packaging - the wooden box makes the whole experience extra special and you can use it as a serving tray too! The matcha powder is such a stunning vibrant green, great quality and tastes lovely and earthy with no bitterness.
I’m obsessed with Matcha! I have tried a lot of different brands and to be honest even some ceremonial matchas out there taste bad!! Can certainly say not all matchas are made the same!! I love this Chai tea. Used to drink so many latte’s, that are filled with so many nasties and preservatives. Every night I make a warm cuppa Chai and add a teaspoon A2 powder milk . Love it.
